Red boots

Two days ago I took this picture.

Red boots always remind me of a line in the movie "Wonder Boys" of 2000, 

where in the first five minutes there is a reference of the red boots one of the characters wears all the time.

Τράβηξα αυτή τη φωτογραφία πριν δύο μέρες.

Οι κόκκινες μπότες μου θυμίζουν πάντα μία ατάκα από την ταινία "Τρομερά Παιδιά" του 2000,

όπου στα πρώτα πέντε λεπτά γίνεται αναφορά στις κόκκινες μπότες που φορούσε ένας από τους χαρακτήρες συνέχεια.

The Scrapbook

Some days ago I discovered a scrapbook I made during my junior high and high school years.

Going through the pages I "saw" the same person I was in my childhood, in the years when I was making the scrapbook and now. It was full of music, movies, photos, color, lists, notes, fashion, art, a pinch of romanticism, a pinch of retro, a pinch of darkness . . . .

After all, personality is the same during our life and it only does circles and evolves . . . !

Πριν κάποιες μέρες ανακάλυψα ένα λεύκωμα που είχα φτιάξει κατά την διάρκεια των ετών που ήμουν στο γυμνάσιο και στο λύκειο.

Χαζεύοντας τις σελίδες του "είδα" το ίδιο άτομο που ήμουν στην παιδική μου ηλικία, κατά τη διάρκεια των ετών που έφτιαχνα το λεύκωμα και τώρα. Ήταν γεμάτο μουσική, ταινίες, φωτογραφίες, χρώμα, λίστες, σημειώσεις, μόδα, τέχνη, λίγο ρομαντισμό, λίγο ρετρό, λίγη "νταρκίλα" . . . .

Στην τελική, η προσωπικότητα είναι η ίδια σε όλη μας τη ζωή και μονάχα κάνει κύκλους κι εξελίσσεται . . . !

The moments of "Oh well, whatever, nevermind!"

1. If you frequently read the "microcosm" you'll know that I like the idea of becoming better by beating your inner "demons" and freeing yourself from the things that keep you behind. 

2. These last two weeks I'm working on ""Smells like teen spirit" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTWKbfoikeg), as a singer, and I really like the words "Oh well, whatever, nevermind", they're like saying "I don't care" with a cool way.

3. Now combine "1" and "2" and imagine those moments that you just say "Oh well, whatever, nevermind" and you stop worrying about something or you pass to the next "level" by . . . for example changing the way you're thinking or acting a bit, so your life can become better and happier.

Those perfect moments . . . !!

1. Εάν διαβάζετε συχνά τον "μικρόκοσμο" θα ξέρετε πόσο μ'αρέσει η ιδέα του να γίνεσαι καλύτερος νικώντας τους εσωτερικούς σου δαίμονες και ελευθερώνοντας τον εαυτό σου απ 'όσα σε κρατάνε πίσω.

2. Τις τελευταίες δύο βδομάδες δουλεύω το "Smells like teen spirit" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTWKbfoikeg), σαν τραγουδίστρια, και μου αρέσει πολύ ο στίχος "Oh well, whatever, nevermind", είναι σαν να λέει "δε με νοιάζει" μ' έναν κουλ τρόπο.

3. Τώρα συνδυάστε το "1" και το "2" και φανταστείτε εκείνες τις στιγμές που απλά λες "Oh well, whatever, nevermind" και σταματάς ν' ανησυχείς για κάτι ή περνάς στο επόμενο "επίπεδο" . . . με το να αλλάξεις λίγο τον τρόπο που σκέφτεσαι ή ενεργείς για παράδειγμα, έτσι ώστε η ζωή σου να γίνεται καλύτερη και πιο ευτυχισμένη.

Αυτές οι τέλειες στιγμές . . . 

Take a look

There are some moments in life that you can clearly see inside yourself.

See who you really are, see the things you keep "quiet". . . /

Υπάρχουν στιγμές στη ζωή που μπορείς να δεις καθαρά μέσα σου.

Να δεις ποιος είσαι πραγματικά, να δεις τα πράγματα που "αποσιωπείς" . . .

There are aspects and details of your personality that you try to supress, because they make you feel weak and maybe you're afraid that if you let them show you'll be eaten by the lions in the jungle out there . . ./

Υπάρχουν πλευρές και λεπτομέρειες του εαυτού σου που καταπιέζεις, γιατί σε κάνουν να νιώθεις αδύναμος και ίσως φοβάσαι ότι άμα τις αφήσεις να φανούν θα σε κατασπαράξουν τα λιοντάρια στη ζούγκλα εκεί έξω . . .

But these moments "of truth" do happen and you're looking very deep inside. What you see makes you feel calm, because you stop trying./

Αλλά αυτές οι στιγμές "της αλήθειας" όντως συμβαίνουν και βρίσκεσαι να κοιτάζεις βαθιά μέσα σου. Αυτό που βλέπεις σε κάνει να νιώθεις ήρεμος, γιατί σταματάς να προσπαθείς.

It's like you're looking at a sky full of clouds and at some point they start to move and you can see the clear blue . . ./

Είναι σαν να κοιτάζεις έναν ουρανό με σύννεφα και σε κάποια φάση  ν'αρχίζουν να υποχωρούν και να μπορείς να δεις το καθαρό γαλάζιο . . .

Or it's like you're standing in front of a mirror with a piece of fabric covering you , like a veil, and at some point you pull the fabric and you look yourself straight in the eye./

Ή είναι σαν να στέκεσαι μπροστά σ' έναν καθρέφτη με ένα κομμάτι ύφασμα να σε καλύπτει, σαν πέπλο, και κάποια στιγμή τραβάς το ύφασμα και κοιτάζεις τον εαυτό σου κατάματα.

Lately I'm extra busy with my music studies and photography is a nice break in the daily routine, so most of the posts in the microcosm are small photography projects.

Τελευταία είμαι πολύ συγκεντρωμένη στις μουσικές σπουδές μου και η φωτογραφία είναι ένα ωραίο διάλειμμα στην καθημερινή ρουτίνα, οπότε οι περισσότερες αναρτήσεις στον μικρόκοσμο είναι μικρά φωτογραφικά πρότζεκτ.
